As a member of the NCAA at the Division III level, most of our sons and daughters will attend colleges like Virginia Wesleyan College which cannot give athletic scholarships where they recognize that their athletes are students first. I need your help in paying the last $13,000 for this year and next so that my son can complete his last year of college education and athletics!!!! DONATE whatever can afford!!! My son and others that need financial help were recruited as student-athletes, I thought was important for him and his journey through life to not only be look at based on there athletic ability but also at classroom performance. This would give them the strength to resist things that are wrong and support this that are right based on knowing the “Rest of the Story”. In late February, 56 student athletes were honored at a basketball halftime for their Dean's List accomplishments this last fall. They have a 94% student athlete graduation rate. I think this is excellent!!
In addition to their athletic and academic achievements, their athletes are engaged in the community too. Around campus they can be spotted cheering on other teams in competition or serving as campus leaders. These athletes are also engaged with the Tidewater area through community service. My sons men's basketball team recently served as mentors at Bettie F. Williams elementary school and helped the students in the writing club.

His first year the team ranked 14th (2008) – Last year the were ranked as high as 12th  - This year the team is ranked 3rd in the country. What he and many others will learn are what makes this country great!!! Quitting is not an option, winning occurs on many levels (even though we are obsessed with being number 1) and that it is important to give back your own communities. 

I am asking for on $1 from each American who has had someone help them only because they needed it. So that the next generation of pay it forward generation can finish college. All money will be donated to colleges to make up the short fall in any parent plus loans as needed…
